Let’s make a pact: not to postpone anything good in life, especially not travel and adventure.

As an attorney, my mind is constantly running at 100 miles an hour. On a recent trip to Japan, I stepped out of the chaos and into a traditional kimono tea ceremony to experience a completely different way of seeing. In this video, we dive into the fascinating history of this ancient ritual.

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." - Marcel Proust

I travel to ask the world, “What is here? What should I know?” And the world then shows me all of its beauty and its many lessons. I never feel more possibility than when I’m on a far away road.

Sometimes a wider view requires going somewhere new.

Possibility expands when we step beyond what we already know.

So we take excursions.

To new places. Down unfamiliar roads. Into neighborhoods, landscapes, cultures, and experiences that remind us just how much there is to see, taste, learn, and enjoy.

Some excursions will take us far from home. Others may be just around the corner. What matters is that we go.

As a high-achieving professional, it is so easy to let work completely consume your identity. On a recent consulting trip to São Paulo, Brazil, I forced myself to put the laptop down and experience the local culture by learning Samba at a traditional Samba factory. This video is a look at that vibrant, high-energy journey and a reminder that true wellness requires us to step out of our comfort zones and just breathe.
